An AI research assistant that gives researchers instant comprehension of dense papers — interactive Q&A, effortless cross-paper comparison, and methodology blueprints. Designed and built end-to-end: Figma to production, light and dark mode, full document workspace.
The challenge
Reading research is slow because papers are written to defend, not to teach. AcademiaLens treats a paper as a queryable object: summarise it, interrogate it, compare it against three others — without losing the rigour of the source.
What I did
- Designed the full product: landing, onboarding, document workspace, AI tool panel
- Built the working prototype — responsive, light/dark, production-grade frontend
- Designed AI tools: Summarise, PaperScout, InfoSpotter, AskLens
- Created the comparison interface for side-by-side paper analysis
